DESCRIPTION

YoCo is a program for youth, developed by youth that encourages youth to explore and share Ottawa’s history! Work collaboratively and brainstorm with others as you work on projects designed and organized by Youth Council Members. Attend training workshops and professional development opportunities, and learn what it is like to be part of a team in a museum setting!

Housed in Ottawa’s oldest stone structure, the BYTOWN MUSEUM explores the city’s history from the early years of Rideau Canal construction, through the rough and tumble days of Bytown, to its emergence as Canada’s capital and beyond.
