About Us
Senior Persons Living Connected (SPLC) is a not-for-profit, charitable organization. SPLC's basket of services, programs and healthcare support complex and wide-ranging social and health needs of diverse individuals and their caregivers. People can access supports that are tailored to the individual, including: geriatric services, addictions and mental health services, care management and coordination, in-home supports, transportation, exercise and active living classes, health and wellness education and clinics.

Position Summary

The Volunteer Trainer will gain an understanding about our new Volunteer Management Software and help train other volunteers in using this new system

Position Description

• Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to master the Volunteer Management Software system
• Guide other volunteers in the process of submitting volunteer hours through the new system
• Get feedback from diverse groups of volunteers on reasons for resistance
• Provide virtual training sessions and how-to videos/guides

Qualifications

• Good communication and verbal speaking skills
• Able to give detailed instructions
• Skilled in computers and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to speak a second language - Cantonese or Mandarin is an asset
