For 50 years, the Canadian Liver Foundation (CLF) is dedicated to reducing the incidence and impact of all liver diseases. CLF is bringing liver research to life by raising funds to promote liver health, improve public awareness, fund research and provide support to millions of Canadians and their families affected by liver disease through:
and this wouldn't be possible without our volunteers. Be involved with the organization that has helped uncover breakthroughs like the discovery of the gene responsible for Wilson Disease or the new cure for hepatitis C, consider serving on a committee. We always welcome new talent from our community.
CLF is recruiting volunteers to fill vacancies on a number committees for our events in 2019. Volunteers can make a difference in the community by providing their expertise, knowledge and professionalism.

We are currently recruiting for committee chairs and committee members for the following roles:
The Events Committee is responsible for organizing CLF?s upcoming fundraising events.The Events Committee oversees the logistics and manage the event planning. Work with Communications Committee to design publications, infographics, and templates for external communications.
The Fundraising Committee secures sponsorship, any financial and in-kind support needed to meet fundraising goal, from local businesses and individual donors. It works in coordination with multiple committees and counts on support from Regional Coordinator and Eastern Canada Director for fundraising strategy development.It works with the Community Relations Committees to publicize the events and manage donations.
The Communications and Marketing Committee manages the organization?s communications, creating and sharing news and events about CLF with volunteers, community members, and the media. It is responsible for creating content for and maintaining our social media accounts, volunteer newsletter, and other outlets to raise awareness of liver disease and promote our event in the community.
The ideal candidate for committee chair will be friendly and outgoing and will demonstrate a willingness to ?grovel with the best of them.?
- Develop plans for soliciting individuals, corporate and in kind sponsors
- Maintains an accurate database of event supporters
- Prepare all social media calendar and strategy for event promotion and ticket sales
- Develops a comprehensive media list with contact names, addresses and telephone numbers.
- Contacts media for feature stories, interviews and photo opportunities.
- Develops a ticket sales plan - email blasts, invites etc..

In return for your valuable help we aim to ensure that volunteering for the CLF is a fulfilling and worthwhile experience. You?ll have support from staff, with the opportunity to gain and develop skills and meet other volunteers. It is also a great opportunity to learn more about the work we do and be part of our mission!
