The Meals on Wheels program at WoodGreen Community Services provides homebound seniors with access to hot and nutritious meals daily. Our program is completely driven by volunteers who are committed to helping seniors age with dignity in their own homes.
As a volunteer, you provide:
Our program operates Monday to Friday from 10:00am to 1pm.
There are two positions available:
Runners: Runners will accompany driver to deliver meals to seniors. Responsibilities include loading meals into the car, delivering meals according to special diets and instruction.
Drivers: Must have access to vehicle and valid G2 or G license. All drivers will be accompanied by a runner to deliver hot meals to designated locations, in a safe and timely manner.

Background Screening:
Please note that a Vulnerable Sector Screening is required for this role prior to working with clients. WoodGreen will process this for you if you do not have a VSS that has been issued within 12 months from the date of interview. Depending on your address, there may be a charge for this service as levied by your police jurisdiction.
