DESCRIPTION

Assist Food Service staff with the preparation and service of lunch to Adult Day Program clients. Setting up dining room, preparation of lunch and clean up after meal

Additional Information

General volunteer orientation; On-the-job shadowing/training with Food Service Assistant or staff; Volunteer will be trained to follow special diet instructions and safe food handling protocol. Staff provides on-going support, answer questions and explain policies; Volunteer will be trained to follow special diet instructions and safe food handling protocol; Invitation to Annual General Meeting and Volunteer Recognition dinner; Reference letter (once completed minimum hours requirement and commitment).

Close to Bus and Streetcar stop. Free parking available.

Minimum age
18

Minimum hours per week
2.5 hours between Monday and Friday, from 11:30am to 2:00pm

Task requirements
Punctual, reliable and patient. Interpersonal and communication skills. Customer service and food preparation skills. Knowledge of senior population and safe food handling protocol will be an asset.

Accessibility
