DESCRIPTION

LetsStopAIDS is a Canadian youth-HIV charity that focuses on HIV prevention and knowledge exchange by engaging young people and fostering leadership. Since 2004, we have been creating a global network of youth-HIV leaders. LetsStopAIDS is entirely run by volunteers and your contribution will be part of the broader volunteer effort.

At LetsStopAIDS, we are looking to embrace Jira Project Management and Jira Software as our primary tool for managing our initiatives and campaigns. We are looking for a strong leader who will be able to help us identify best practices related to Jira functionalities, onboard new users (including arranging permissions), and being our subject matter effort for all things JIRA! You will also be instrumental in helping LetsStopAIDS to quickly adopt JIRA, generating some kick demos, documents, instructions or even training sessions, when needed (we are not migrating to JIRA from another platform).

Responsibilities & Skills:
- Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement
- Manage user permissions for tools according to the needs of projects and teams to improve overall JIRA security
- Perform application and system administration tasks, including data backups and scheduled jobs
- Test new versions of tools and plug-ins to ensure compatibility
- Research and utilize industry standard methods and techniques
- Maintain JIRA projects, workflows, permissions, and users while working in a JIRA CLOUD
- Work with JIRA filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, and JIRA administration

About You
- Experience as JIRA Administrator with experience customizing JIRA projects with various schemes, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ hands-on experience working with the Atlassian product suite, ideally with specific focus on JIRA as a Project/Application Administrator
- Expert level Atlassian tool administration knowledge on JIRA and Confluence
- Ability to construct custom dashboards using various filter types in JIRA
- Ability to work in a dynamic agile environment
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as position involves interfacing with customers

Dedication: The role will require 10-15 hours per week and the successful candidate may choose to work remotely, however, the different tasks involved may sometimes require irregular volunteer hours, particularly in times of need.
