About Hope Air
Hope Air is a unique national charity that helps Canadians get to medical treatment when they cannot afford to pay for their flights. For many people, the cost of travelling to medical care presents a prohibitive financial challenge. Since 1986, we have proudly arranged more than 100,000 flights nationwide. We operate with a small staff team, but are supported by a large complement of invaluable volunteers.
Reporting to the Senior Development Coordinator, the Fund Development volunteer is a key member of the Fundraising Team. Your exceptional research and writing skills will directly impact our clients by raising the funds needed to keep our flight service available.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor?s degree; at minimum, eligible candidates should have completed two years of an undergraduate degree program. In addition, we look for the following skills in our volunteers:
Hours are flexible, with a weekly shift of 3 hours. We ask that you commit to volunteering for a minimum of 3 months. Please note volunteering takes place in our office, conveniently located at Yonge and Davisville, anytime between 10 am-7:30 pm Monday-Friday.

Training and Orientation
You will be invited to attend an orientation and training session at Hope Air's offices. Ongoing training will be provided by your volunteer supervisor, and you will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement.
