DESCRIPTION
GlobalMedic and Feed Ontario are partnering to pack more than 50,000 food hampers for food insecure populations in Ontario. Packing shifts will be held in the former Target space of Cloverdale Mall. Shifts are offered Monday to Friday, with a morning shift (9:30am to 12:30pm) and an afternoon shift (1:00pm to 4:00pm). Volunteer tasks include packing food items into boxes, restocking food items, and breaking down and recycling boxes.
Volunteers should be prepared to be walking/standing for the entirety of the three hour shift.
COVID-19 precautions are in effect for these volunteer shifts. Surfaces are disinfected daily and social distancing is enforced. Volunteers will be asked some screening question when they arrive for their shifts and temperatures will also be taken to ensure all volunteers are safe to participate.
The minimum age requirement for volunteers is 14 years old.
