Farmers Market Volunteer

  • WHERE
    Toronto, ON

DESCRIPTION

The Toronto Botanical Garden is home to a popular Organic Farmers Market  every Thursday afternoon.  This busy and fun event needs volunteer help to run smoothly and provide a positive visitor experience.

There are a variety of roles, all fun, all important and all calling upon just a few hours of your time.

These are outdoor roles with a high degree of interaction with members of the public. They would suit an outgoing personality who has good communication skills and the ability to welcome people (without being overwhelming!).

Farmers Market Roles:

Market Set Up (11.30 - 1 pm)  help set up canopies and tables for the vendors

Information Table Reps (2 pm - 4 pm and 4 pm - 6 pm) - setting out display materials on information table, greeting visitors, providing directions and information.

TBG staff will be on hand to provide orientation and any additional training required for these roles.

The Toronto Botanical Garden (TBG) hosts an Organic Farmers Market every Thursday year round.

In late May this wonderful event expands (17+ vendors)  and is held outdoors.

Volunteer help is needed in

setting up for each market, and

greeting visitors at TBG?s information table.

These roles are as short as an hour or two, but come and stay for the afternoon!  Your help will be much appreciated.
