Dinner Program Volunteers- 25 August Ave (Main Location)

St. Felix Centre, est. in 1993, is a non-profit community centre in downtown Toronto. We are dedicated to helping individuals experiencing challenges such as poverty, abuse, homelessness, mental illness, and addiction. By supporting the emotional, social, cultural, economic, and spiritual needs of individuals, we strengthen the entire community.

The main objective: To provide a healthy dinner to homeless and marginalized people and to create a safe and welcoming space for all.

  • Follow hygiene and grooming rules (wash hands every time you get in contact with food or dishes);
  • Under the direction of the kitchen supervisor carry out food preparation and cooking tasks as required.
  • Set trays and serve food onto them.
  • Make coffee, tea and get other beverages ready to serve.
  • Dish washing and general clean up and food storage.
  • Work cheerfully, quickly and in a team with other volunteers.

In between Spadina and Bathurst just off of Queen.

Hours: 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday to Sunday. Commitment of 4 Hours per week (16 hours a month)

For a minimum of 3 months

Additional Information:
Training in the kitchen will be provided. Ongoing training and coaching provided/available during shift.   Required language:
