DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

The Board of Directors is a policy board comprised of committed and enthusiastic individuals who are knowledgeable in law, risk management, financial management, resource development and lived expertise of the criminal justice system. We are currently looking for 2 new Board members with a high degree of personal commitment to our cause. Successful candidates must be able to serve a three-year term and should have the energy to devote up to 8 hours per month involving:
• Attending board meetings on the second Wednesday of every month (6pm-8pm) in person (currently via Zoom)
• Participating on a board committee and/or project work
• Attending annual events such as the AGM and strategic planning sessions

Currently we are looking for candidates who have the following expertise and skills in one (or more) of the following domains (but encourage anyone interested in the positions to apply):
• Financial literacy
• Prior experience on a board of directors
• Lived experience within the justice system
• Non Profit Housing / Real Estate Development
• Human Resources and/or Organizational Development
