Volunteer Services Administrators (VSAs) make sure that both Shelter Movers organizational needs and individual volunteers needs are met as part of a positive, sustainable relationship. This involves recruitment, training, and support of volunteers, administrative duties, program evaluation, and celebrating volunteer achievements. Duties include: -Posting volunteer opportunities online and responding to email inquiries. -Conducting phone interviews with volunteer applicants and matching their skills to volunteer openings. -Assisting with new volunteer orientations. The ideal VSA will have: -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Tact, discretion, high maturity level and good judgement . -Reliable work habits. -Strong organizational skills. -Ability to protect client and volunteer confidentiality. -Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
