Q. How do I log in to SPARK Ontario?
A: To post a story, customize your search and keep track of your favourite volunteering opportunities, you need to create an account. Click on “Join” at the top right-hand section of each web page, then provide your name and email address. From there, follow the instructions and we’ll get you set up!
Q. What does it cost to join SPARK?
A. There is no cost to join Spark either as an organization or a volunteer.
Q. How do I submit a story?
A. We’d love to see your volunteering story posted on SPARK! To get started, you need to create an account.
Q. Will my personal information will be visible to other visitors of the site?
Q. I run a small, grassroots organization but it’s not a charity or a non-profit. Can I still post positions on SPARK?
A. Unfortunately, you can’t post your volunteering opportunities on SPARK. For further support, please contact a volunteer centre near you.
Q. What if I find material on SPARK I think is offensive?
A. If you find a story, video or photo that is offensive, please click on the link within the story itself that says, “Report Abuse.” For any other complaints or concerns, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q. Can I meet someone in person to talk about volunteering?
A. For in-person help, please contact a volunteer centre in your area.
Q. Can someone from SPARK speak to my community group about volunteering?
A. No, but volunteer centre staff may be able to meet with your group or provide relevant resources. Also, check out SPARK’s Volunteer Q & A page.
Q. I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
A. Click on “Login” at the top right-hand section of section of our web pages, then click on the Forgot Password link, entering the email address you used to create your account. Instructions will be sent to this account allowing you to reset you password.
Q. How do I unsubscribe from emails I receive from SPARK?
A. Log in to your profile and set the “never” option from the email frequency pull-down list.
Q. How do I deactivate my account?
A. To deactivate your account (or for other help enquiries), please email email@example.com.
