VP of Legal

Description

The Responsibility:

•Partner with CLO to provide a broad spectrum of legal support to the Testoper Community
•Research on relevant laws to implement legal strategies and requirements to comply and minimizing the risks
•Ensure compliance with global and local requirements, including relevant laws, codes of conduct, and policies
•Create and maintain a legal operational plan and calendar, and ensure its success from goal to action, target metrics indicator, and outcome
•Lead as an example, walk the talk, honor meeting hours (1hr./week), and volunteer work hours (3 hrs./week)

The Deliverables:
•Create and maintain a legal operational plan and calendar, and ensure its success from goal to action, target metrics indicator, and outcome
•Accountable for government legal activities/deadlines and executing it promptly to minimize the risk of non-compliance.
•Support the Finance team for grants and loan applications to secure government and private grants
•Fulfill non-profit secretary responsibilities, such as communicating to CXO's, scheduling meetings, maintaining minutes of meetings, and corporate records completed on time

The Experience:

•Determined to succeed and have led or have worked as an assistant in the legal department from a law firm and/or as in-house counsel
•Knowledge and experience with issues related to the not-for-profit organization, tech industry, and education industry are an asset
•Ability to multi-task and work in a non-profit/charity area of law.
•Adaptive legal skills, capable of responding to a wide range of legal challenges in a proactive and reactive manner
•Provide legal research and advice with issues of laws related to not-for-profit
•Keep your promises, take your commitments seriously, and have strong integrity
