Description

Wellington Rescue is looking to add to our team! Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding volunteer opportunity? Contact us today to speak to us about joining the Wellington Auxiliary Rescue Association. WARA is 100% volunteer run organization. We rely on a team of dedicated individuals from our community to respond to Marine emergencies 24/7.

Volunteers must reside in the Wellington or surrounding area and be able to be on location within 30mins of a callout.

Volunteers must have or obtain some basic certification in the first year (most of these WE provide);
- Personal Watercraft Operator Card (PCOC)
- Radio Operator Certification (ROC)
- First Aid with CPR,
- Marine Emergency Duties A3 (MED A3)
- Complete the Phase I and Phase II Search and Rescue (SAR) courses offered by Coast Guard Auxiliary, and
- Become a member of Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (CCGA).
