The Opportunity

We are recruiting for the role of Fundraising/Grant Coordinator. Working with the Executive Director and Communications Associate, the volunteer in this role will have an opportunity to share their experience, passion and creativity to support grant applications and fundraising proposals for corporate sponsorship to support ACCESS’s mission and programs.

Responsibilities include:
• Research grant opportunities that fit within the ACCESS mission and program mandates
• Prepare grant applications
• Prepare and assist with fundraising proposals for corporate sponsorship
• Provide communications to the ED highlighting grant applications and corporate sponsorship proposals that align with the ACCESS mission and programs
• Assist other team members with reviewing grant application (to provide feedback and editing suggestions)

Related Skills & Experience
• Fundraising professional or experience with fundraising campaigns or grant writing or transferable skills and an interest in fundraising or the nonprofit sector.
• Strong research and writing skills
• Organized and detail oriented
• A self-starter with initiative
• Creative and innovative
• Good computer skills
• Note: This opportunity is open to individuals wanting to build their resume, and for college and university graduates looking to gain practical and hands on experience that have related skills appropriate to this role.

Commitment/Schedule
A minimum six-month commitment, approximately 3-5 hours per week is required. This is a virtual role, project based so provides flexibility within the scope of specific projects/grant deadlines. Meetings with the ED and other staff for both planning and updates are scheduled as required and arranged in advance to accommodate schedules.
