Our regular weekly programs fall under three core categories: Health and Wellness (“Be fit!”), Skills Development and Hobbies (“Be well!”), and Personal Connections (“Be social!”).
We have two Seniors Active Living Centres (SALC) in the City of Windsor that offer 120 regularly scheduled programs each week. Both facilities meet convenience and wellness standards, including: street-level locations for accessibility, offers free parking, on a bus route, and bike racks. The Membership fee is $12.50/month, however, you can come in for a tour and try us for a week free of charge.
Our agency provides Community Support Services including friendly visiting, telephone assurance, foot care and home maintenance supports to at-risk older adults living at home. These services are designed to keep seniors living at home safely and independently for as long as possible.
Outreach services are provided to adults 50+ living in low income apartment buildings who experience physical, economic, social and cultural barriers to attending programs at site-based locations. The program aims to reduce and prevent social isolation, loss of support networks, physical mobility, and other health and mental health issues that seniors experience.
