Childcare Volunteer

Description

We are looking for volunteers to care for children while their parents are attending programs at the RIWC and the Riverdale Hub. Childminding will take place on site.

Days: Tuesdays and Thursday (days are open to discussion)
Hours: TBD (times are flexible)
Duration: Short or Long Term Opportunity

Responsibility:
• Be welcoming to children and parents from diverse backgrounds
• Maintain a clean and safe space for children to play, and respond appropriately to the children’s needs
• Supervise and attend to children of clients
• Assist in set up and clean up

*Responsibilities are not just restricted to the above-listed tasks*

Requirements
• Up to date First Aid and CPR C certification
• Be positive, active and energetic
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Enthusiasm and ability to take initiative to engage with the children
• Previous experience working with and caring for children is an asset
