Location:

118-557 Dixon Rd. Etobicoke ON, M9W 6K1 (In plaza with St Louis on corner, unit facing the 401).

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with sorting of meals.
Provide a friendly visit and a personal security check-in to each client receiving meals.
Report any problems encountered during volunteer duty and any concerns with clients’ deteriorating health status or need for other services, to Coordinator, or Volunteer Coordinator.
Provide ample notice to Volunteer Coordinator if unable to perform volunteer duty as scheduled.

Qualifications:

Good communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle client related incidents according to procedures provided through previous training.
Punctual, reliable, conscientious, sensitive to needs of seniors/people with disabilities.

Time Commitment:

2 and a half hour shift. Monday- Friday delivery between 11am-1:30pm or 9am-11:30am on Wednesday.
6 - 12 month minimum commitment preferred.

Training & Development:

Orientation to the Canadian Red Cross/Red Crescent Society Movement.
On the job specific training.
