To assist Adult Day Program staff on transportation provided for Adult Day Program clients. Assist clients in and out of vehicle. As a companion and motivating client to participate in different activities. Assist driver whenever needed.
**As an incentive, FREE breakfast will be provided to morning volunteers after each shifts** Initial volunteer orientation to agency and program; On-the-job shadowing/scheduled training with an experienced volunteer or staff. Coordinator provides on-going support, answer questions and explain policies. Volunteer will be trained to work with physically disabled or cognitive impaired seniors. The knowledge of playing a vital role in the success of the program; Opportunity to improve interpersonal skills; An invitation to the Annual Volunteer Recognition Event; Letter of Reference (upon completion of required duration).

Minimum hours per week
2.5 hours shifts from Monday to Saturday between 8:00am to 10:30am or 2:15pm to 3:30pm.
Strong communication skills with focus on comprehension and expression; Good interpersonal skills with a focus on ability to interact effectively with clients; Responsible and dependable regarding time commitment; Flexible in nature; Patience and understanding of frail elderly and disabled.
Building is accessible with parking and washrooms available.
