About SPARK Ontario

Part of a legacy initiative for the Pan/Parapan American Games 2015, SPARK is Ontario’s first bilingual online volunteer gateway. By aggregating volunteer opportunities and other resources into a single, accessible website, SPARK encourages Ontarians make their communities better places to live and work through volunteering.

By focusing on finding and promoting nontraditional volunteering opportunities AND engaging nontraditional volunteers, SPARK is forging new pathways in volunteering and inviting more Ontarians to join the circle of community.

SPARK’s mission is to bring potential volunteers and non-profit organizations together.

SPARK’s goal is to spread the word about volunteering and help Ontarians to get involved with activities that fit for their lifestyle.

SPARK’s hope is that you will find what you are looking for on our site and in your next volunteering experience. (If not, come back again―new opportunities crop up all the time!) When you do find the right volunteer experience, please tell us about it. Create a video. Write a story. Or take a picture.

Funded by the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, SPARK is a partner-driven project led by Findhelp Information Services.
